Obituary: Mrs. Frank (Calesta) Todd died December 27th, 1942, at the home in Yuma following an illness that lasted more than fifty years. She was 77 years old. Prior to her marriage 58 years ago, she was Miss Calesta Brewer. A few years after her marriage she became ill and continued in poor health for the remainder of her life. She seldom complained of her fate but bore her afflictions with a smile and humble submission. Besides her aged husband, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John E. (Etta) Lewis, and two grandchildren, Max Todd Lewis and Mrs. Callie Bolen, all of Yuma. Burial was made in New Hope Cemetery.

Calestia married Benjamin Franklin TODD, son of Wiley Wesley TODD (1833-1876) & Mary Elizabeth SPALDING (1840-1928). Born on 11 Feb 1864 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 81, Benjamin Franklin died on 18 Feb 1945. Buried in Feb 1945 in New Hope Cemetery, Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Frank Todd was born in Henderson County, February 11, 1864. He died February 18, 1945, at the age of 81 years. He was left a fatherless boy at the age of 12, having five brothers and sisters younger than he, so he knew the weight of responsibility since a child. At the age of 13 he professed faith in Christ and united with the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, remaining a member until moving to Yuma where he sponsored the movement to build a church there. He gave the site on which the church now stands, worked with his usual determination to its completion, and became one of its charter members. At the age of 21, he was married to Calista Brewer, who died two years ago. The couple was blessed with one daughter, Mrs. Effie Lewis. Rev A.U. Nunnery conducted the funeral services at Yuma Baptist Church followed by internment at New Hope Cemetery.

They had one child:
23 i. Effie Lena (1885-1957)
