Eula Beatrice married John Augustus SMITH, son of William S. SMITH (1847-1893) & Martha Jennie JAMISON (1859-1935). Born on 8 Apr 1889. At the age of 80, John Augustus died on 12 Nov 1969. Buried in Nov 1969 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Gus". They had the following children:
809. Lama Florine SPRINGER. Born on 29 Dec 1908 in Buxter, Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 93, Lama Florine died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 11 Jul 2002. Buried on 19 Jul 2002 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee. Obituary: Lama Florine Springer Smith died Thursday morning, July 11, at her home at Huntingdon Residential Care. She was 93. Mrs. Smith was born in Carroll County, near Huntingdon, in the community of Buxter on December 29, 1908, to Henry H. Springer and Lela E. Brandon Springer. They moved to Clarksburg when she was five. She graduated from Clarksburg High School in 1928 and went to the University of TN at Martin in 1929. She taught her first school in Humphreys County in 1929-30 and then taught school in Carroll County for eight years. She married Tyler Smith in 1933 and had a son, Brent, in 1935. In 1943 they moved to Memphis because of the war. She had a son, Gary, born in 1944. In 1946 she started teaching at the Shrine School for Crippled Children in Memphis and taught in Memphis for 12 years. Mr. Smith worked for Ford Motor Company and in 1958 the family moved to Ohio since the company closed its Memphis operations. She taught school for two years in Avon Lake, Ohio. In 1960 the family moved to Whittier, California, where she finished her teaching career in 1974. During these 14 years, 12 were spent in special education. While working, Mrs. Smith completed her BS and earned an MS in special education at Memphis State and completed a year towards her doctorate at the University of Southern California. In her retirement, she traveled to Hawaii, Mexico and Europe, and visited many friends and family throughout the United States. She lost her eyesight in 1985 and in 1989 she returned to Tennessee. She lived in the nursing home in Huntingdon from 1991 to 2001. In January 2001, she moved to Huntingdon Residential Care, an assisted living facility. Mrs. Smith is the last of Henry Springer’s children. She is preceded in death by her son, Dr. Gary G. Smith; her brothers, Reed Springer, Glenn Springer and Hosea Springer; and her sisters, Eula Smith, Arlie Gooch and Thelma Johnson. She is survived by a son, R. Brent Smith of Palmdale, California; three grandsons, Nick Smith and Darrell Smith, both of California, and Ian Smith of Florida; a granddaughter, Kristen Smith of Florida; four great-granddaughters, Jessica, Tiffany, Danielle and Sammi-Jo Smith; a great-great-granddaughter, Tanna Smith (all of California); and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 19, in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Sellers Hill Cemetery In 1933 when Lama Florine was 24, she married Tyler SMITH. They had the following children:
