208. Joseph Walter BRITT. Born in 1875 in Parkers Crossroads, Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 65, Joseph Walter died in Parkers Crossroads, Henderson County, Tennessee in Mar 1940. Buried in Mar 1940 in McKenzie, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Joe".

Obituary: Funeral services for Joe W. Britt, 65, who died Friday morning at the home of his sister, Mrs. L.J. Leslie, near here were conducted by Elder W.L. Denton at the Church of Christ at Clarksburg with interment in McKenzie. Mr. Britt was born and reared near Parker's Crossroads, but for several years had made his home in McKenzie. He had married twice--the first time to Miss Callie Swearington. To this union was born one child. After the death of his wife, he was married to Miss Kate Ridley of McKenzie. Besides his wife he is survived by a son Hogan Britt of Aurora, Illinois, and two sisters, Mrs. S.J. Leslie of Wildersville, and Mrs. Ollie Ballard of Bruceton. His father, James Britt, and mother, Mrs. Laura Scott Britt, died some years ago.

Joseph Walter first married Callie SWEARINGTON.

They had one child:
i. David Hogan. Resided in Aurora, Illinois in 1940.

Joseph Walter second married Kate RIDLEY.

209. Mary Ulena BRITT. Born in 1880 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 34, Mary Ulena died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 3 Apr 1914. Buried in Apr 1914 in Beech River Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Eula" or "Ruby".


On 24 Dec 1899 when Mary Ulena was 19, she married James E. GIBSON, son of J. H. GIBSON & Rachel WOODS, in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 31 Jul 1879 in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 53, James E. died in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee on 23 Jul 1933. Buried in 1933 in Beech River Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Jim".

They had the following children:
i. Infant. Born on 26 Sep 1900. Infant died on 26 Sep 1900. Buried in 1900 in Beech River Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.
ii. Infant. Infant died on 24 Mar 1902. Buried in 1902 in Beech River Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

210. Elizabeth BRITT. Born on 21 Feb 1882 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 80, Elizabeth died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 5 Jul 1962. Buried in 1962 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Lizzie".

Elizabeth married Lewis Jackson LESLIE, son of Stephen George LESLIE (1854-1926) & Mallisie Ellen PENDERGRASS (1856-1932). Born on 12 Apr 1882 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 78, Lewis Jackson died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 18 Aug 1960. Buried in 1960 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1932.

They had the following children:

211. Ollie Sue BRITT. Born on 27 Mar 1885 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 83, Ollie Sue died in 1969. Buried in 1969 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Bruceton, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1940. Alias/AKA: "Allie".

On 27 Oct 1904 when Ollie Sue was 19, she married Seba E. BALLARD, son of Willie Brown BALLARD & Anna B. ADAMS (1858-1916), in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 10 Feb 1884 in 7th District, Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 38, Seba E. died in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee on 30 Apr 1922. Buried in 1922 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:
i. Vander Moran. Born on 22 Sep 1905. At the age of 71, Vander Moran died on 22 Dec 1976. Buried in 1976 in Prospect Cemetery, Bruceton, Carroll County, Tennessee.

On 4 Aug 1926 when Vander Moran was 20, he married Syble GRISSON.

No children produced from this marriage.

459 iii. James Edward (1910-1970)
iv. Annie Laurie. Born on 18 Feb 1915.

On 5 Jul 1946 when Annie Laurie was 31, she married Everette WARD. Everette died on 25 Jul 1981. Buried in Jul 1981 in Oak Hill Cemetery, Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee.

No children were produced from this marriage.
