Family of Jonathan BRANDON (38) & Minerva ?

99. Barton W. BRANDON. Born on 10 Jun 1821 in Tennessee. At the age of 48, Barton W. died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 21 Dec 1869. Buried in 1869 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Barton W. first married Martha JOYNER. Born in 1826. At the age of 24, Martha died in 1850.

They had one child:
i. Minerva J.. Born about 1847 in Tennessee.

On 14 Dec 1850 when Barton W. was 29, he second married Sarah ROARK, daughter of Elijah ROARK (1798-1858) & Easter JOYNER (1804-1895), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 8 Jul 1823 in Tennessee. At the age of 76, Sarah died after 1900.

They had the following children:
227 i. James Alexander (1852-1938)
228 ii. Lucy C. (1854-)
iii. Martha J.. Born about 1854 in Tennessee.
iv. Henry W.. Born about 1856 in Tennessee.
v. William B.. Born in 1865.

100. Elizabeth BRANDON. Born on 30 Oct 1837 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 64, Elizabeth died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 20 Jan 1902. Buried in 1902 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880.

On 15 Nov 1854 when Elizabeth was 17, she married Henry Marian ROARK, son of Elijah ROARK (1798-1858) & Easter JOYNER (1804-1895), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 20 Jul 1828. At the age of 69, Henry Marian died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 20 Feb 1898. Buried in Feb 1898 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880.

Served as a Sergeant in Company G, Seventh Cavalry, U.S., during the American Civil War (verified by Seventh Tennessee Cavalry personnel roster).


They had one child:
i. John E.. Born on 21 Jun 1860 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 11, John E. died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 24 Jan 1872. Buried in Jan 1872 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee.
