On 2 Apr 1982 when Carter Brent was 21, he married Jane Ellen RUSH, daughter of Gaylon RUSH & Mary Sue GOOCH (1923-), in Tennessee. Born on 4 Jul 1960 in Carroll County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:
