First Generation

1. James BRADFIELD. Born around 1760 in South Wales.

James Bradfield was listed on 30 April 1787 as living near his brother, Zachariah Bradfield, Junior, in Loudon County, Virginia.

Residence: In 1785, James Bradfield settled in Virginia on the Rappahannock River near Fredericksburg, Virginia.

around 1785 when James was 25, he married Elizabeth LORENTZ. Born around 1765 in Wales.

They had the following children:
2 i. Lewis B. (1786-1870)
3 ii. John (1791-1840)
iii. William Daniel. Born in 1800 in Dumfries, Prince William County, Virginia. At the age of 82, William Daniel died in Morris County, Texas in 1882. Buried in 1882 in Spring Hill Cemetery, Daingerfield, Texas.

William Daniel Bradfield relocated to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where he lived for many years. In 1852, he and his wife, Mary, moved to Morris county, Texas, and spent the rest of their lives there.

William Daniel married Mary LOWRANCE, in Rutherford County, Tennessee. Born in 1809. At the age of 73, Mary died in Morris County, Texas in 1882. Buried in 1882 in Spring Hill Cemetery, Daingerfield, Texas.
