18. Nolan Massey GRANT. Born on 30 Oct 1920 in Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee in Jun 2000.

On 5 Apr 1942 when Nolan Massey was 21, he married Cornelia Elizabeth TAYLOR, daughter of Leland Homer TAYLOR (1893-1959) & Cynthia Ann FLAKE (1896-1977). Born in 1924 in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:

ii. Russell. Born on 26 Oct 1946 in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Russell married Janice RENSHAW.

19. Berling Boyd GRANT. Born on 4 Sep 1922 in Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Putt".

Berling Boyd married Helen Louise WALL, daughter of Dennis Cecil WALL (1892-1955) & Carrie RUSH (1892-1975). Born on 4 Sep 1922 in Tennessee. At the age of 77, Helen Louise died in Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee on 16 Sep 1999. Buried on 18 Sep 1999 in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Toppy".

Obituary: Services for Helen "Toppie" Grant, 77, of Yuma, were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 18, at Reed's Chapel in Lexington. Burial followed in Parkers Crossroads Cemetery in Wildersville. Mrs. Grant, a homemaker, died Thursday, September 16, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon of heart disease. She was preceded in death by her husband, Berlin "Putt" Grant. She is survived by two sons, Jim Grant of Yuma and Roy Grant of Clarksburg; a sister, Trula Mae McDaniel of Yuma; and a brother, Bud Wall of Memphis.

They had the following children:

Roy Lynn married Cynthia Denice JOYNER, daughter of Joseph Clayton JOYNER & Clara Lois VINSON (1932-). Born in 1955.


20. Joe Bendell GRANT. Born on 22 Jun 1927 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 72, Joe Bendell died in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee on 13 Jun 2000. Buried in Jun 2000 in Clarksburg Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Jack".

Obituary: Joe Bendel "Jack" Grant, 72, of Clarksburg, died Tuesday, June 13, at Baptist Hospital in Nashville. Services were held on Thursday, June 15, at Dilday Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Dwight Haskins and Bro. Harold Carver officiated. Burial followed in the Clarksburg Cemetery. Mr. Grant, the son of the late Durward and Ethel Boyd Grant, was born June 22, 1927, in Henderson County. He was a retired employee of the Milan Arsenal and a World War II Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Wilma Grant; a daughter, Jo Helen Azbill of Clarksburg; a stepson, Danny Stanfill of Huntingdon; two sisters, Shelby Grant of Nashville and Butonne Ellis of Huntingdon; a brother, Nolen Grant of Huntingdon; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

On 21 Jan 1949 when Joe Bendell was 21, he married Wilma Lee REEVES, daughter of Felix Houston REEVES Senior (1902-1990) & Sidney Jane HALE (1901-1984). Born on 22 Jun 1925 in Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1999.

They had the following children:
i. Danny (Step Child of Husband). Alias/AKA: "Lee Bob".

ii. Joe Helen.

21. Mary Butonne GRANT. Born on 25 Aug 1934 in Tennessee.

On 3 Jul 1950 when Mary Butonne was 15, she first married William Lincoln COLLINS, son of Daniel COLLINS (1895-1953) & Retha Frances HEDGE (1904-1999). Born on 5 Jan 1931 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 71, William Lincoln died in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee on 18 Mar 2002. Buried on 20 Mar 2002 in Palestine Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1999. They were divorced.

Obituary: Mr. William Lincoln Collins, 71, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, died Monday, March 18, 2002 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 20, 2002, at 1:00 p.m. at the Palestine Cemetery with Bro. Phillip Halters officiating the service. He is survived by two daughters, Vicky Hamilton of Lexington, Lisa Williams of Huntingdon; one son, Ronnie Collins of Huntingdon. He also leaves six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Obituary: William Lincoln Collins, 71, of Huntingdon, died Monday, March 18, at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, at the Palestine Cemetery with Bro. Phillip Halters officiating. Pallbearers who served were Rodger Lindsey, Roger Grant, Steve Allen, Clayton Haywood, Lyndin Morgan and Jim Thompson. Chase Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Collins, the son of the late Daniel and Retha (Hedge) Collins, was born January 5, 1931, in Carroll County. He was a retired truck driver and believed in the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by a brother, Nelson Collins. He is survived by two daughters, Vicky Hamilton of Lexington and Lisa Williams of Huntingdon; a son, Ronnie Collins of Huntingdon; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

39 iii. Lisa Jean (1960-)

Mary Butonne second married Unknown ELLIS.

22. James Lindell GRANT. Born on 30 Oct 1936 in Tennessee. At the age of 61, James Lindell died in Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee on 18 Jun 1998. Buried in Jun 1998 in Clarksburg Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Buddy".

James Lindell married Linda WINCHESTER, daughter of Hubert S. WINCHESTER (1906-1983) & Elsie E. WOODWARD (1919-2001). Born on 12 Aug 1941 in Tennessee.

They had the following children:
