113. Amanda Magdalene MEGGS. Born on 9 Jan 1921. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1930.

Amanda Magdalene married Hearvie Joshia ELLIS, son of Lee Austin ELLIS & Isabella Pearl PEARSON. Born on 18 Feb 1921 in Haywood County, Tennessee. At the age of 86, Hearvie Joshia died in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee on 3 Sep 2007. Buried on 6 Sep 2007 in Salem Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Obituary: Hearvie Joshia Ellis, 86, of Huntingdon, died Monday. Sept. 3, at Jackson Madison County Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Sept. 6, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Salem Cemetery. Bro. Wayne Burton will officiate the service. The family receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Wednesday, Sept. 5, from 5 until 9 p.m. Pallbearers who will serve are Tim Ellis, Vern Emison, Lance Ellis, Scott Emison, Lucas Raines and Ethan Raines. Mr. Ellis, son of the late Lee Austin Ellis and Isabella Pearl (Pearson) Ellis, was born Feb. 18, 1921 in Haywood County. Hewas a sales clerk for Welch Fruit Company and a member of the First Pentecostal Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Magdalene Ellis and nine brothers and sisters. He is survived by one daughter, Paulette (Cecil) Emison of Adamsville; three sons, Gary L. Ellis of Pulaski, Terry L. (Marion) Ellis of Huntingdon, and Gene M. (Delores) Ellis of Cape Canaveral, Florida; seven grandchildren; and nine great– grandchildren.

114. Lorene MEGGS. Born in Nov 1923 in Lexington, Tennessee. At the age of 80, Lorene died on 5 May 2004. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1930. Resided in Milan, Gibson County, Tennessee in Oct 2002.

On 19 Sep 1942 when Lorene was 18, she married Warren G. Howard FLOWERS, in Corinth, Mississippi. Born on 6 Dec 1922 in McNairy County, Tennessee. At the age of 79, Warren G. Howard died on 7 Jan 2002.

115. A.G. MEGGS. Born on 29 May 1926 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 76, A.G. died in Milan, Gibson County, Tennessee on 9 Oct 2002. Buried on 13 Oct 2002 in White Rose Cemetery, Gibson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1930.

Obituary: Services for A.G. Meggs, 76, are 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 13, 2002 at Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home with burial in White Rose Cemetery. Mr. Meggs died Wednesday at the TN State Veterans Home. Survivors are wife, Geneua Burney Meggs of Humboldt; daughters, La Don Bradford of Samburg and Melda Collins of Jackson; sisters, Lorene Flowers, Iva Morris and Betty Meggs all of Milan and brother, J.B. Meggs of Cedar Grove.

On 15 Apr 1945 when A.G. was 18, he married Geneva BURNEY, in Corinth, Mississippi. Born on 27 Aug 1928 in Spring Creek, Tennessee.

116. James B. MEGGS. Born on 14 Nov 1928 in Lexington, Henderson County. At the age of 80, James B. died in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee on 13 Mar 2009. Buried in New Independence Full Gospel Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1930. Resided in Cedar Grove, Carroll County, Tennessee in Jul 2002. Alias/AKA: "J.B.".

Obituary: CEDAR GROVE - Mr. J. B. Meggs, 80 of Cedar Grove, Tennessee died Friday, March 13, 2009 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services are Sunday, March 15, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the New Independence Full Gospel Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Bro. Lloyd Hardy will officiate the service. The family will receive friends in the Cherry Wood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday after 5:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 8:00 a.m. until noon. Mr. Meggs was born November 14, 1928 in Henderson County, Tennessee to the late Elie Albert Meggs and Ella (Ivey) Meggs. He was a retired construction worker for the Tennessee Asphalt Company, a National Guard Veteran, and attended the New Independence Full Gospel Church. He was also preceded in death by one brother, A. G. Meggs, two sisters, Magdalene Ellis, Lorene Flowers, and one uncle, Rev. O. R. Meggs. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mildred Sue (Hardy) Meggs, two sons, Dale Meggs (wife Tracie) of Cookeville, David Meggs (wife Pam) of Huntingdon, two sisters, Iva Mae Morris of Trenton, and Betty Sue Meggs of Milan. He also leaves three grandchildren, Anna Meggs, Adam Meggs, Jason Meggs, and three great grandchildren, Sierra Meggs, Abby Langford, and Emmy Langford.


James B. married Mildred Sue HARDY, daughter of ? HARDY.

117. Ivie Mae MEGGS. Born on 27 Dec 1930. Resided in Milan, Gibson County, Tennessee in Oct 2002. Resided in Trenton, Gibson County, Tennessee in Mar 2009.

Ivie Mae married Jessie MORRIS.

They had the following children:
i. Shelia. Resided in Milan, Gibson County, Tennessee in Aug 2004.

Shelia married ? PETTY.

ii. Michael. Resided in Milan, Gibson County, Tennessee in Aug 2004.
