29. William Frank BOWMAN. Born on 30 Apr 1854 in Decatur County, Tennessee. At the age of 83, William Frank died in Decatur County, Tennessee on 24 Mar 1938. Buried in Mar 1938 in Mt. Ararat Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 18, Henderson County in 1860 with his cousin William Bowman.  Resided in Duck Creek Community, Stoddard County,  Missouri, in 1870.  Resided in District 15, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1880. Resided in District 15, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1900. Resided in District 6, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1910. Resided in District 6, Decatur County, Tennessee in 1920. Occupation: Farmer.
 

It is general consensus that William Frank Bowman's mother was Elizabeth Bowman.  However, the Elizabeth that was the daughter of Simeon Henry Bowman appears unlikely to be his mother.  This Elizabeth had two children whose last name were Morgan.  Elizabeth, the daughter of Daniel Bowman, most likely is his mother.


William Frank Bowman served as deacon in Mt. Ararat Baptist Church from 1887-1897 at which time he was ex-communicated because he joined the Holiness Church.

In 1877 when William Frank was 22, he married Louisa BRADFIELD, daughter of Elijah Lewis BRADFIELD (22 Nov 1826-16 Aug 1864) & Elizabeth EVANS (19 Aug 1825-7 Jun 1898). Born on 30 May 1854 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 66, Louisa died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 4 Apr 1921. Buried in Apr 1921 in Mt. Ararat Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 12, Decatur County, Tennessee in 1860. Resided in District 15, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1870. Resided in District 15, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1880. Resided in District 15, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1900. Resided in District 6, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1910. Resided in District 6, Decatur County, Tennessee in 1920.

They had the following children:

iv. James Wiley. Born on 30 Sep 1883 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 9, James Wiley died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 29 Dec 1892. Buried in 1892 in Mt. Ararat Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

James Wiley Bowman was killed in a hunting accident. He was accidentally shot by Lane Brodie. Lane Brodie moved to Texas and later to Oklahoma after the shooting.

ix. Silas C.. Born on 12 Dec 1893 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 2, Silas C. died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 1 Jul 1896. Buried in 1896 in Mt. Ararat Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.
