12. Daniel B. BOWMAN. Born in 1800. At the age of 49, Daniel B. died in Decatur County, Tennessee in Jun 1849. Circuit court docket Saturday Dec 7 1839 State of TN. vs Simon Bowman... forfeiture of recognizance...Daniel Bowman having been called to come into court as he is this day bound to do to answer the state of TN on a charge of perjury against him.......Came not but made default and Simeon Bowman having also been solemnly called to come into court and bring with him the body of Daniel Bowman to answer said charge came not but makes default. It is therefore commanded by the court that said Simon Bowman for the default afore said do forfeit and pay to the State of TN the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars according to the effect of his recognizance entered into by him before John L Houston, a justice of peace for the said county on 26 august 1839 unless he show good and sufficient cause to the contrary at the next term of this court and that a scirefacias? issue to warn him. Daniel B. married Lucinda ?. Born in 1805. At the age of 44, Lucinda died in Decatur County, Tennessee in Jun 1849. They had the following children:
13. Simeon Henry BOWMAN. Born in 1802 in Tennessee. At the age of 64, Simeon Henry died in Decatur County, Tennessee on 27 Jan 1866. Buried in Jan 1866 in Bowman Cemetery, Jeanette, Decatur County, Tennessee. Resided in Perry County, Tennessee in 1830. Resided in District 5, Decatur County, Tennessee in 1850. Resided in District 4, Decatur County, Tennessee in 1860. Occupation: Farmer. Simeon Bowman to William Kolwyk Decatur County, Tennessee Deeds Book 2, pp. 278-9 Simeon Bowman to William Kolwyk This Indenture made and entered into this 28th day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty three between Simeon Bowman on the one part and William Kolwyk on the other part both of the County of Decatur and State of Tennessee Witness that for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and fifty Dollars in hand paid by the said William Kolwyk the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged by the said Simeon Bowman hath and doth by these presents Bargain Sell Set Over and Convey to the said William Kolwyk a certain tract or parcel of Land being in the County of Decatur and State of Tennessee Containing one hundred and twenty Acres of Land Beginning at the South West Corner of Entry No 891 for one hundred and forty Acres in the name of Andrew Killian & runs thence North one hundred and eighty poles to beech dogwood 2 black oaks & post oak pointers thence North one hundred and eighty poles to a beech dogwood and pointers thence East Seventy two poles to a Stake thence South one hundred & five poles to the Beginning to have and to hold the afore Said Land and bargained premises to the only proper use of him the Said William Kolwyk his heirs and assigns forever and the said Simeon Bowman doth by these presents Warrant and forever defend the title of the afore Said Land and bargained premises from him self his heirs executors adminstrators and all manner of persons Claiming or to claim them whatsoever to the Said William Kolwyk his heirs and assigns forever in witness whereof the Said Simeon Bowman hath Signed Sealed and Delivered in the presents of John P Hill James Q Brewer Simeon x Bowman (Seal) State of Tennessee} This day personally appeared before me Samuel A. Decatur County } Yarbro Clerk of the County Court of Said County Simeon Bowman the Bargainer with whom I am personally acquainted and who acknowledged that he executed the foregoing deed for the purpose here in contained and on the day it bears date Witness my hand at Office this 10th day of November 1855 State of Tennessee} Registers Office November 15 at 5 o'clock PM 1855 then Decatur County } was the foregoing deed the clerks certificate and this certificate duly recorded in Book No 2 page 278 & 279 and noted in note Book A page 72 Witness A M Yarbro R.J.C. On 10 Dec 1825 when Simeon Henry was 23, he married Elizabeth HILL, in Jefferson County, Tennessee. Born in 1801 in North Carolina. Resided in District 5, Decatur County, Tennessee in 1850. Resided in District 4, Decatur County, Tennessee in 1860. They had the following children:
14. Samuel BOWMAN. Born in 1798 in Virginia. Samuel married Mary Ann LOHR. Born in 1804 in South Carolina. Mary Ann died in Madison County, Tennessee. Resided in District 7, Madson County, Tennessee in 1860. Resided in District 2, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1850. They had the following children:
