Family of John BOWLING (1) & Martha MANGUM

2. Willis BOWLING. Born on 17 Jan 1791. At the age of 90, Willis died on 13 Nov 1881.

On 4 Sep 1816 when Willis was 25, he married Elizabeth WILKERSON, in Granville County, North Carolina. Born on 21 Oct 1796. At the age of 76, Elizabeth died in Durham County, North Carolina on 3 Jul 1873.

They had one child:
i. Willis N.. Born on 6 Feb 1845. At the age of 18, Willis N. died in Durham County, North Carolina on 29 May 1863.

3. William Reeves BOLEN. Born on 1 Dec 1818 in Orange County, North Carolina. At the age of 45, William Reeves died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 5 Apr 1864. Buried in Apr 1864 in Carrington Cemetery, Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in 9th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1850.

In 1838 when William Reeves was 19, he married Durainey CARRINGTON, daughter of Sihon CARRINGTON (1788-1844) & Jememia COZART (1794-1862), in Henderson County, Tennessee. Born on 15 Nov 1820 in Orange County, North Carolina. At the age of 38, Durainey died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 2 Mar 1859. Buried in Mar 1859 in Carrington Cemetery, Wildersville, Henderson County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:
7 i. John W. (1839-1908)
ii. Larceny. Born in 1842 in Henderson County, Tennessee. Larceny died in Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Fanny".
8 iii. Ariadne Josephine (1844-1932)
iv. Martha Jemima. Born on 20 Apr 1846.

Martha Jemima married Lester HORN.
9 v. Sion Monroe (1850-1919)

4. Riley BOWLING. Born in 1797.

Riley married Fanny GLENN, in Granville County, North Carolina. Born in 1801.

They had the following children:
i. Syntha. Born in 1818.
ii. Ruthie. Born on 16 Nov 1821.
10 iii. Elva (1823-)
iv. John. Born in 1827.
v. William. Born in 1832.

5. Joseph BOWLING. Born in 1801 in North Carolina.

On 6 Oct 1825 when Joseph was 24, he married Mary KIRKLAND, in Orange County, North Carolina. Born in 1801 in Virginia.

They had the following children:
i. Presley. Born in 1830.
ii. Henry. Born in 1834.
iii. Elizabeth. Born in 1836.

6. Yancey BOWLING. Born in 1805.

On 15 May 1822 when Yancey was 17, he married Polly COZART, in Orange County, North Carolina.

They had one child:
i. John.

On 1 Oct 1868 John married Ann CANDER, in Orange County, North Carolina.
