First Generation

1. John BOWLING. Born on 6 Jul 1764. At the age of 52, John died in Orange County, North Carolina in 1817.

On 12 Aug 1790 when John was 26, he married Martha MANGUM, daughter of Joseph MANGUM, in Granville County, North Carolina. Born on 8 Jul 1765 in North Carolina. At the age of 100, Martha died in Granville County, North Carolina on 6 Sep 1865.

They had the following children:
2 i. Willis (1791-1881)
3 ii. William Reeves (1818-1864)
iii. Patsey.
iv. Josephine.
v. Martha.
4 vi. Riley (1797-)
5 vii. Joseph (1801-)
6 viii. Yancey (1805-)
ix. John.

On 28 Mar 1840 John married Christiana COZART, in Orange County, North Carolina.
