Tate Springs Baptist Church. The reason for two wedding dates? We ran off
and got married in May (un-be-known to our families), and then got married in
the Church in August. I am retired from the wedding business and now am an
amateur Gelealogist. By the way, the pastor that adopted our daughter-in-law
married all five of our children.

She married Robert Gene STEELE, M, on 9 May 1952 in Acuna, MexiCounty, Born on 22 Mar 1931 in Joplin, Jasper County,, MO.

Graduate of Baxter Springs H.S., Baxter Springs, Kansas, 1949. United States
Air Force, 1951-53. Grad. Texas Wesleyan College, 1957, Ft. Worth, Texas, Bache-
lor of Business Administration. Retired Govt. Employee. Owns Steele's
Business Service. Bob was a star Basketball & Baseball player in school. He
played with Mickey Mantle several years. In fact, Mickey said he was the only
one that could strike him out.
