City of Denton. He served on boards of many organizational committees, as
well as aiding in the establishment of a good educational environment for
Denton residents. He was the author of "FOOTPRINTS OF TIME"; "HISTORY OF
DENTON COUNTY BAPTIST ASSOCIATION"; "STEWARDSHIP BORN OF GOD" and "THE DEACON"

ALICE's husband R.L. CLAYTON, was named after Gen. ROBERT E LEE, whom his
father served under in the Confederate Army. As a mere youth R.L. took up the
study of medicine and at the age of 17 began practicing after graduating from
Emory Univ. in Atlanta, Georgia. Records indicate that he is the youngest
certified physician in the medical history of the U.S. He served the needs of
people without regard to race or fees and money, being available to his
patients any hour of the day or night.

She married Dr. Robert Lee CLAYTON, M. Born on 29 Mar 1863 in Quitman, Brooks County, GA. Dr. Robert Lee was 70 when he died in Prob. Celina, Texas on 1 Dec 1933. Dr. Robert Lee was buried in IOOF Cemetary Denton, Denton County, Texas.

Twin of SAMUEL BOYD TABOR, JR. JOHN helped build the present courthouse
in Denton, Texas in 1905.

He married Lillian Elizabeth HARWELL, F, on 18 Mar 1897 in Denton, Denton County, Texas. Born on 28 May 1878 in Magnolia, Columbia County, AR. Lillian Elizabeth was 54 when she died in Pampa, Gray County, Texas on 2 May 1933. Lillian Elizabeth was buried in IOOF Cemetary, Denton, Denton County, Texas.

LILLIE established a boarding house for boys going to college, and was on
the "approved list" at NORMAL COLLEGE (now UNIVERSITY OF NORTH TEXAS in
Denton, Texas) where she enjoyed an excellent reputation. The TABOR'S
helped many boys work their way through college. "THE TABOR HOUSE" was well
known as a wonderful place for boys to stay while in school.
