& gen. merchandise, having followed this profession for 46 yrs. Faith: Baptist
John T. was stricken with polio, Aug. 1922, when he was 9 yrs old. Confined to
a wheelchair since. He moves around and along serving his customers willingly
& cheerfully, his attitude towards everybody. His body from the waist down is

ville, S.C., 52 yrs. Retired at age 72. Faith: Baptist. In 1945 when Pres. F.
D. Roosevelt died at Warm Springs, GA, a solid pullman train was chartered via
Southern to take his body to Washington D.C. 2 Firemen & engineers were called
to the job. The final decision ended with L.O. for the special task. Why? The
formans answer was "I know there will not be a minute's loss, for this train

He first married Edith Pearl MORSE, F, on 12 Feb 1912 in Union County, South Carolina. Born on 14 Dec 1881 in Lone Tree, Johnson County, IA. Edith Pearl was 36 when she died in Union County, South Carolina on 13 Jul 1918. Edith Pearl was buried in Fairforest Baptist Church Cemetery, Union.
