David Allen was buried in Pisgah Cemetery, Atwood, Carroll County, TN. 1880 Gibson County, TN census, Dist. 15; Dwl 18; pg 459. In McKenzie newspaper dated Feb 19, 1926: David A. BELEW died at age 76, m. Lettie Jackson & Mrs. Max Cage; was a Methodist; President and Vice-President of Atwood Banking; five children, one survives - E.F. BLEEW. He married Lettie A. JACKSON, F, on 29 Jan 1879 in Milan, Gibson County, Tennessee. Born on 31 Mar 1853. Lettie A. was 43 when she died in Milan, Gibson County, Tennessee on 18 Apr 1896. Lettie A. was buried in Poplar Springs Cemetery, Gann, Gibson County TN. They had the following children:
212. Martha Jane "Mattie" BELEW, GG Granddaughter, F. Born in 1861 in Tennessee. Martha Jane "Mattie" was 57 when she died in Alba, Wood County, Texas on 12 Feb 1918. This info came from Jere Cox. I am not sure these are the correct parents for Martha since there is 11 years between her and their last child, David. Rachael would have been 41 and Harvey 43 when she was born. She married Aaron Neal McCOLLUM, M, on 23 Dec 1877 in Milan, Gibson County, Tennessee. Born on 14 Jun 1850 in Carroll County, TN. Aaron Neal was 76 when he died in Alba, Wood County, Texas on 19 May 1927. Aaron Neal was buried in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Alba, Wood County, Texas. Aaron went to Texas and served a hitch with the Texas Rangers, 1873 to 1874. He returned to TN and was married. He and Mattie were in Texas by 1880 and after living in Red River, Vanzandt, and Princeton, Collin County they settled in Alba, Wood County, Texas in 1903. One of thier daughters married Z. H. Power and another one married L.H. Scarborough. All of their children were deceased when this article was written in 1987 by Dorothy Duckett, 405 Antietam, Vic- toria, Texas 77904.
