28. Emily Jane BELEW. Born on 18 Nov 1845 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 54, Emily Jane died in Fulton, Kentucky on 23 May 1900. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850.

In 1866 when Emily Jane was 20, she married George Wade BURTON Senior, son of James Wade BURTON (1804-1864) & Elizabeth E. WALL (1800-1872). Born in 1843 in Joyce, Mechlenburg County, Virginia. At the age of 57, George Wade died in Fulton County, Kentucky on 16 Mar 1900. Buried in 1900 in Fairview Cemetery, Fulton, Kentucky. Resided in 14th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850. Military: Served in Company I, 7th Tennessee Cavalry (US) during the American Civil War.

They had the following children:
i. James Thomas. James Thomas died in 1929.

James Thomas married Ada RINGO.

ii. Betty Elizabeth. Born in 1868 in Fulton County, Kentucky.

Betty Elizabeth married Fate RASCOE.

iii. Laburn W.. Born in 1870 in Fulton County, Kentucky. At the age of 77, Laburn W. died in St. Louis, Missouri in 1947.

Laburn W. married Mattie B..

iv. Janie. Born in 1872 in Fulton County, Kentucky.

v. Donna G.. Born on 24 Aug 1874 in Fulton County, Kentucky. At the age of 29, Donna G. died in Fulton County, Kentucky on 25 Jul 1904.

Donna G. married George F. WEIS.

65 vi. George Wade (1876-1929)
vii. Robert Otto. Born in 1879.

viii. Edmond Walter. Born in 1881. At the age of 19, Edmond Walter died on 24 Mar 1900.

ix. Maude Ella. Born in 1882. At the age of 2, Maude Ella died on 21 Oct 1884.

29. James Richard BELEW. Born on 6 Dec 1846 in Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 70, James Richard died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 22 Apr 1917. Buried in Apr 1917 in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880. Religion: Church of Christ.

On 23 Dec 1869 when James Richard was 23, he married Verona Ann HARDY, daughter of Jesse HARDY (1810-) & Hannah GIST (1812-), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 20 Jan 1853 in Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 78, Verona Ann died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 16 Sep 1931. Buried in Sep 1931 in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Religion: Church of Christ.

ii. Ella. Born in 1872 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 30, Ella died in Carroll County, Tennessee in 1902.

iii. Mollie Lee. Born in 1874 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 82, Mollie Lee died in Carroll County, Tennessee in 1956.

Mollie Lee married Alton J. TURNEY.

v. Lela. Born in May 1879 in Tennessee. At the age of 37, Lela died in 1917. Buried in 1917 in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

30. Newton Henry BELEW.         Born on 8 Jul 1849 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 67, Newton Henry died in Fulton, Kentucky on 30 Jan 1917. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1870.

On 23 Nov 1870 when Newton Henry was 21, he married Corilla Jane HARDY, daughter of Jesse HARDY (1810-) & Hannah GIST (1812-), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 28 Jan 1851 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 49, Corilla Jane died in Fulton County, Kentucky on 22 Mar 1900.

They had the following children:
i. Emma Adeline. Born on 2 Apr 1872. At the age of 17, Emma Adeline died in Fulton County, Kentucky on 24 Mar 1890.

Died from brain fever.

ii. Minnie Mae. Born in 1874.

Minnie Mae married Will GASKINS.

iii. Renzo Melton. Born in 1876.

Renzo Melton married Mattie KEARBY.

iv. Thomas Newton. Born in 1878.

Thomas Newton married Kelpa DODSON.

v. Mattie Bell. Born in 1879. At the age of 21, Mattie Bell died in Hickman County, Kentucky on 7 Apr 1900.

Died from smallpox.

vi. Arthur Clarence. Born in 1881.

Arthur Clarence married Daisy Mae MILLER.

vii. Maude Elizabeth. Born in 1883.

Maude Elizabeth married Leighman ELLIOT.

71 viii. Vera Leola (1886-1972)
ix. Ina. Born on 30 Apr 1889.

72 x. Nina (1889-1971)
xi. Ermine Guy. Born on 9 Mar 1893 in Hickman County, Kentucky. At the age of 33, Ermine Guy died in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee on 19 Mar 1926.

Guy was a War World War I veteran. He died in the Memphis Veterans Hospital with the fourth known case of Hodgkins Disease in the United States.

Ermine Guy married Louise LAWRENCE.


31. John W. BELEW. Born in May 1852 in Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880. Occupation: Miner of gold in the American West.

On 28 Feb 1878 when John W. was 25, he married Ann Gertrude PINCKLEY, daughter of David Clark PINCKLEY (1830-1878) & Ann Francis HARRIS (1835-1900), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born about 1858 in Tennessee. At the age of 76, Ann Gertrude died on 3 Jul 1934. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1880.

They had the following children:
i. Lizzie F.. Born in Jun 1888.

ii. Ernest. Born in Mar 1885.


32. Joseph BELEW. Born in 1856 in Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1870.

Joseph Belew moved west in search of gold.

Joseph married Alice Michler OBER.

They had the following children:
i. Eva Lou. Born on 14 Feb 1886 in Colorado. At the age of 64, Eva Lou died in Flint, Michigan on 23 Jan 1951.

Eva Lou married William Barney LANE.

33. Sebern Johnson BELEW. Born on 16 May 1858 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 72, Sebern Johnson died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 28 Feb 1931. Buried in Feb 1931 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Sebe".

On 14 Jan 1885 when Sebern Johnson was 26, he married Lucinda LAWS, daughter of John Wesley LAWS (1831-1878) & Susan Jane WILLIAMS (1837-1892), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born on 29 Aug 1863 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 83, Lucinda died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 28 Apr 1947. Buried in 1947 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:
i. Myrtle E.. Born on 17 Dec 1886 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 73, Myrtle E. died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 28 Feb 1960. Buried in Mar 1960 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: 'Myrtie".

Myrtie Belew never married.

ii. Infant. Born on 28 Jul 1889 in Carroll County, Tennessee. Infant died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 28 Jul 1889. Buried in Jul 1889 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee.

73 iii. Herschel Wilmoth       (1890-1983)
iv. Sudie. Born on 20 Apr 1894 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 83, Sudie died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 13 Feb 1978. Buried in Feb 1978 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Sudie Belew never married.

v. Cora. Born on 7 Apr 1899 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 4, Cora died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 17 Jul 1903. Buried in Jul 1903 in Sellers Hill Cemetery, Clarksburg, 13th District, Carroll County, Tennessee.


34. Jacob Wilmoth BELEW. Born on 13 Sep 1868 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 87, Jacob Wilmoth died in Carroll County, Tennessee on 20 Jan 1956.

On 25 Oct 1899 when Jacob Wilmoth was 31, he married Lenarah Nora STEWART, in Carroll County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:
74 i. John Richard (1900-1983)
75 ii. Will L. (1901-1961)
iii. Mittie. Born on 21 Mar 1905 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 88, Mittie died in Carroll County, Tennessee in 1994.
