25. Carl Edward BARTHOLOMEW Senior. Born on 28 Jul 1935 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 67, Carl Edward died in Nov 2002. Buried on 29 Nov 2002 in Poplar Corner Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Buddy".

Obituary: Funeral services for Buddy Bartholomew, 67, will be Today at 2:00 p.m. at Reeds Chapel in Lexington with burial to follow in Poplar Corner Cemetery. Survivors are his wife Berthal Bartholomew of Lexington; two daughters, Rhonda Johnson of Wildersville, Joy Beth Campbell; one son, Carl Edward Bartholomew Jr., of Wildersville; one brother, Billy Joe Bartholomew of Ledbetter, Kentucky; five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Kerry Campbell.

On 20 Oct 1952 when Carl Edward was 17, he married Berthal Elizabeth JAMES, daughter of Yancey Nelson JAMES (1905-1983) & Hetty Opal RAINEY (1907-1997), in Corinth, Alcorn County, Tennessee. Born on 5 Dec 1938.

They had the following children:
i. Rhonda Kay. Born on 24 Sep 1953.
ii. Carl Edward. Born on 6 Apr 1959.
50 iii. Joy Beth (1967-)
