Obituary: HUNTINGDON: Mr. Roger Nathan Roberts, 60, of Huntingdon, passed away Monday, January 17, at his home. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 19, at 1:00 p.m. at the Huntingdon First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Dr. Paul Mullikin will officiate the service. Mr. Roberts was born August 21, 1944 in Clarksburg to the late Raymond Bryant Roberts and Nellie (Reed) Roberts. He retired from the Huntingdon Police Force after twenty-four years of service, graduated from the Police Academy in 1981, was the operation and training officer for the Civil Defense of Carroll County, owned and operated the Silver Grill restaurant on the court square during the 90s, a locksmith in his off-duty hours, a member of the Huntingdon First United Methodist Church, Jaycees of Huntingdon, Fraternal Order of Police and the local chapter representative, Child Fatality Review Team for the 24th Judicial District, and the Huntingdon Rotary Club. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Rae Ann Roberts. He is survived by his wife, who he married January 23, 1965, Joyce June (Murray) Roberts; one daughter, Ginger Darlene Roberts of Huntingdon; one son, Charles Ray "Chuck" Roberts (wife Janica) of Arlington; two sisters, Rachael Deaton (husband Jim) of New Market and Diane Rich (husband Paul) of Huntingdon; three brothers, Ross Roberts (wife Tracey) of Mt. Juliet, Robin Roberts of Hermitage, and Ray Roberts of Nashville. On 23 Jan 1965 when Roger Nathan was 20, he married Joyce June MURRAY. They had the following children:
