Family of Eliza Jane AZBILL (16) & Joseph L. OWENS

83. James Franklin OWENS. Born on 4 Feb 1889 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 49, James Franklin died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 16 Oct 1938.

Obituary: James Franklin Owens was born February 4th, 1889, and died October 16th, 1938, aged 49 years. He leaves to mourn his death, his wife, Mrs. Clossie Franklin Owens, with their twelve children: Nora Johnson, Nettie Fesmire, Connie, Nell, Trula, Addie, Wilmer, Mary Sue, Marie, James, Opal and Paul. Willie Bell at the age of 10 months died in 1918. He professed faith in Christ about ten years past and joined the Center Ridge M.E. Church and remained a true member until he went to join the great church triumphant. Jim, as he was familiarly called, will indeed by sadly missed by his devoted wife and children, whom he loved and cherished as only a true husband and father could. He never found his sacrifice too great for him to aid the church and educate his children, and delighted in the religious training of his children to the extent that he would forgo an kind of luxury for himself that they might be helped. Funeral services were held at Antioch with Royal R. Pafford in charge.

James Franklin married Clossie FRANKLIN. Born in 1893. At the age of 82, Clossie died in 1975. Buried in 1975 in Antioch Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:
i. Nora. Born in 1912. At the age of 78, Nora died in 1990. Buried in 1990 in Antioch Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Nora married R.V. JOHNSON. Born in 1907. At the age of 38, R.V. died in 1945. Buried in 1945 in Antioch Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.
ii. Willie Bell. Born in 1917. At the age of 1, Willie Bell died in 1918. Buried in 1918 in Antioch Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.
iii. Nellie. Born in 1919. At the age of 68, Nellie died in 1987. Buried in 1987 in Antioch Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Nellie married John S. JOHNSON. Born in 1915. At the age of 81, John S. died in 1996. Buried in 1996 in Antioch Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.
iv. Trula. Born on 22 Nov 1921.

Trula married John Hula GURLEY. Born on 3 Jan 1911. At the age of 81, John Hula died on 2 Jul 1992. Buried in Jul 1992 in Antioch Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.
