24. John L. SMITH. Born in 1854 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 81, John L. died in Henderson County, Tennessee in 1935. Buried in 1935 in Oak Grove Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Jack".

John L. married Saphrona E. THOMAS. Born in 1854. At the age of 98, Saphrona E. died in Henderson County, Tennessee in 1952.

They had the following children:

		iii.	Lavena B.. Born in May 1877 in Henderson County, Tennessee.

		vi.	Roy Thomas. Born in 1894. At the age of 5, Roy Thomas died in 1899.
		vii.	Barbara. Born in 1895. At the age of 5, Barbara died in 1900.

25. William G SMITH. Born in 1860 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 72, William G died in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee in 1932. Alias/AKA: "Bill".

In 1872 when William G was 12, he married Cordelia OWENS, in Henderson County, Tennessee. Cordelia died in Henderson County, Tennessee in 1928. Buried in 1928 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Dell'.

They had the following children:

		i.	Shady G.. Born on 2 Mar 1890 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 63, Shady G. died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 21 May 1953. Buried in May 1953 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

		iii.	Zula.
		iv.	Golden.

26. Eliza Jane SMITH. Born in 1863 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 39, Eliza Jane died in Henderson County, Tennessee in 1902.

Eliza Jane married Ranks DEERE. Ranks died in 1944.

27. James Benjamin SMITH. Born in 1867 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 89, James Benjamin died in Henderson County, Tennessee in 1956. Buried in 1956 in Oak Grove Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

James Benjamin married Lois Orlena ?. Born in 1868. At the age of 48, Lois Orlena died in Henderson County, Tennessee in 1916. Buried in 1916 in Oak Grove Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

		ii.	Bertha. Born in 1889. At the age of 68, Bertha died in 1957. Bertha married Bird JASLIN.
		iii.	Nonnie. Born in 1892. At the age of 40, Nonnie died in 1932.

28. Mattie Lee SMITH. Born on 8 Oct 1874 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 76, Mattie Lee died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 27 Nov 1950. Buried in Nov 1950 in Oak Grove Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Mattie Lee married John Martin LINDSEY, son of Jermiah LINDSEY Junior (1831-1917) & Mary Ellender LINGO (1838-1911). Born on 22 May 1880 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 55, John Martin died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 23 Sep 1935. Buried in Sep 1935 in Oak Grove Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Obituary: John Martin Lindsey, of near Oak Grove, in the 3rd district of this county, was a son of the late Jerry and Ellen Lingee Lindsey. He was born on May 22, 1880, near where he died at the age of 55 years. He was married to Miss Mattie Lee Smith, who, with two sons, Bob and Roy, survive; also, daughters, Misses Ida and Edith Lindsey and Mrs. Leva McDaniel. A daughter, Mrs. Bell Sego, died about two years ago, and one son died in infancy. He leaves on brother, Tom Lindsey, and two sisters, Mrs. J.E. Sisson and Miss Mary Lindsey, all of Lexington. Rev. Fleetwood Ball, assisted by Rev. T.C. Jowers, conducted the funeral service at the New Hope Cemetery.

They had the following children:

	i.	Ida Muse. Born on 27 Aug 1900 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 78, Ida Muse died in Henderson County, Tennessee in May 1979. Buried in May 1979 in Oak Grove Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Ida Muse married Ernest FUQUA.

	v.	Lennie Belle. Born on 7 Dec 1906 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 26, Lennie Belle died in Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee in Aug 1933. Buried in Aug 1933 in Oak Grove Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Obituary: Death of Young Woman: Mrs. Belle Lindsey Sego, wife of Otis Sego, died in a Jackson hospital last Thursday morning. She was only 27 years old. She is survived by her parents, husband one child. Rev. Fleetwood Ball conducted the funeral services at Oak Grove Church with interment in the nearby Cemetery. Lennie Belle married Otis SEGO, son of John Franklin SEGO Junior (48) (1863-1940) & Mary Ellen REED (1874-).
	vi.	Edith Olean. Born on 17 Aug 1910 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 76, Edith Olean died in Henderson County, Tennessee in 1987.
	vii.	Carlos Harold. Carlos Harold died on 12 Aug 1915. Buried in Aug 1915 in Oak Grove Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee.
