138. Tessie Mae HAMPTON. Born in 1897 in Carroll County, Tennessee.

On 31 Mar 1918 when Tessie Mae was 21, she married Benjamin Rufus GOOCH Senior, son of Ozro L. GOOCH (1842-1928) & Margrette C. ? (1851-1920), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born about 1890 in Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in District 15, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1900.

They had the following children:
204 i. Ruth Helen (1935-)
205 ii. Mary Sue
iii. Lenville.
iv. Benjamin Rufus. Born about 1918 in Carroll County, Tennessee. At the age of 56, Benjamin Rufus died in 1974. Buried in 1974 in Barr Springs Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "B.R.".

139. Richard Ivan HAMPTON. Born about 1899 in Carroll County, Tennessee.

About 1922 when Richard Ivan was 23, he married Dossie Estelle MITCHELL, daughter of Samuel Joseph MITCHELL (1877-1960) & Martha Ellen Susan BROWN (1880-1952), in Carroll County, Tennessee. Born about 1904 in Carroll County, Tennessee.

They had the following children:
i. Beatrice.
ii. Inez.
