87. Mabel Pauline SMALL. Born on 18 Dec 1915 in Peggit, Arkansas. At the age of 91, Mabel Pauline died in Houma, Louisiana on 10 Feb 2007. Buried on 15 Feb 2007 in Greenwood Cemetery, Palmyra, Louisiana.

Obituary: Mabel Pauline Small Pounders, 91, of Houma, LA, and formerly of Palmyra, passed away Saturday, February 10, in Houma. Funeral services were held Thursday, February 15 at the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra. Burial was held at Greenwood Cemetery in Palmyra. Mabel was born December 18, 1915, in Pegget, Ark., to Onnie E. and Lela Mae McAdams Small. She was married to Virgil E. White on February 17, 1937 in Lexington, TN. He preceded her in death October 12, 1967. Survivors include sons, Charles (Charlotte) White of Houma and James (Carol) White of Chandler, Arizona; brothers, Elwood, Charles and Waymond Small; sisters, Mary Elizabath Holson and Helen Hinson; 8 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, John David White; and 3 brothers. Mabel was a homemaker. She loved to make quilts and cook. She was loved by all. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Hannibal.

On 17 Feb 1937 when Mabel Pauline was 21, she married Virgil E. WHITE, in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Virgil E. died on 12 Oct 1967.

They had the following children:
i. Charles. Resided in Houma, Louisiana in Feb 2007.

Charles married Charlotte ?.

ii. James. Resided in Chandler, Arizona in Feb 2007.

James married Carol ?.

iii. John David.
