Dona PENIX. Born in Jul 1882 in Tennessee. At the age of 80, Dona died in 1963. Buried in 1963 in Beech River Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 17, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1900. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1920. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1930.

In 1896 when Dona was 13, she married Harvey McDANIEL, son of Rodrick McDANIEL (1842-1926) & Araena McDANIEL (1840-1922). Born in Jul 1882 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 61, Harvey died in 1944. Buried in 1944 in Beech River Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 17, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1900. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1910. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1920. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1930.

They had the following children:

ii. Effie. Born in 1906 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 86, Effie died in 1992. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1910. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1920.

Effie married Robert T. BOLDING. Robert T. died in 1958.

Robert T. Bolding was from Brownsville, Haywood County, Tennessee. Robert Bolding and Effie McDaniel and no children. They were farmers and raised cotton, corn, cattle, and had an egg business. He died in 1958 and Effie continued to run the business until 1990 when she moved to Gibson County, Tennessee.

iii. Katy R.. Born in 1908 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 86, Katy R. died on 8 Apr 1994. Buried on 8 Apr 1994 in Beech River Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1910. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1920. Alias/AKA: "Artie".

Obituary: Graveside services for Mrs. Artie McDaniel Dickens were Friday, April 8, at Beech River Cemetery with Rev. Jason Long officiating. Reed's Chapel was in charge. Mrs. Dickens, who was 86, died Friday, April 8, at Briarwood Manor. She was a homemaker. She had two brothers, H.R. McDaniel of Huron and Wiford McDaniel of Illinois; and a sister, Marie Crowe of Lexington.

Katy R. married ? DICKENS. Resided in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1992.

v. Dovie. Born in 1912 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 80, Dovie died in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee in Dec 1992. Buried in Dec 1992 in Beech River Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1920.

Obituary: Services for Mrs. Dovie Baker were Thursday at Reed's Chapel with the Rev. Terry Rhodes officiating. Burial was in Beech River Cemetery. Mrs. Baker, who was 80, died Wednesday morning at Methodist Hospital at Lexington. She was a homemaker. She leaves three brothers; Bob McDaniel and H.R. McDaniel, both of Lexington and Wilford McDaniel of Melrose Park, Illinois, and two sisters, Ardie Dickens and Marie Crowe, both of Lexington.

Dovie married ? BAKER.

vi. Wilford. Born in 1914 in Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1920. Resided in Melrose Park, Illinois in 1992. Resided in Huron, Henderson County, Tennessee on 8 Apr 1994.

Wilford McDaniel was a boarder in the home of John Douglas, in the 1st District, Henderson County, Tennessee, in 1930.

On 12 Apr 1932 when Wilford was 18, he married Bulah JOHNSON, in Henderson County, Tennessee.

vii. Gelden. Born in 1916 in Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1920.

132 viii. Marie (1918-)
ix. H. R.. Born on 9 Mar 1918 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 87, H. R. died in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee on 29 Mar 2005. Buried on 31 Mar 2005 in Beech River Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1920. Resided in Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1992.

Obituary: Funeral services for Mr. H. R. McDaniel are scheduled for 1:00pm, Thursday, March 31, 2005 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Beech River Cemetery. Mr. McDaniel died early Wednesday in Lexington. He was born in Lexington on March 9, 1918 to the late Harvey and Donie Penix McDaniel. He was a retired farmer. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Marie Crowe and nieces and nephews.

59. Liddie Estel PENIX. Born on 23 Dec 1883 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 57, Liddie Estel died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 23 Dec 1940. Buried in 1940 in Beech River Cemetery. Resided in District 17, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1900. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1920. Alias/AKA: "Essie".

Obituary: Mrs. Liddie Estel Penix Cody, better known as "Essie", the daughter of W.H. and Jane Adams Penix, was born in Henderson County December 23, 1883, and died December 23, 1940, aged 57 years. She was married to Sidney L. Cody in about 1900 and to this union were born ten children. Two preceded her to the grave. Beulah (Mrs. Joe Caldwell) died about 18 years ago and one child died in infancy. Children living are James, Joe, Henry, of Wildersville, and Paul of Sharon Springs, Kansas; Lizzie (Mrs. Ben Hatch), Velma (Mrs. Onnie Dameron), Lessie (Mrs. Guy McCollum) and Jessie (Mrs. Harold Smith). Surviving are one brother, J. Frank Penix, and one sister, Dona (Mrs. H.R.) McDaniel. She united with the Methodist Church at Olive Branch and lived a loyal member of that church until it was discontinued and has since lived loyal in that faith. Rev. Comer Hastings conducted the funeral services at Beech River School House with burial in the nearby cemetery.

In 1900 when Liddie Estel was 16, she married Sidney L. CODY, son of William CODY (1837-) & Sarah ? (1850-). Born in Aug 1875 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 45, Sidney L. died in 1921. Buried in 1921 in Beech River Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 17, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1880. Resided in District 17, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1900. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1920.

They had the following children:
i. Beulah. Born in 1904 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 19, Beulah died in 1923. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1920.

Beulah married Joe CALDWELL.

iii. Joe F.. Born in 1907 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 75, Joe F. died in 1982. Buried in 1982 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1920.

In 1934 when Joe F. was 27, he married Lillian A ?. Born in 1915. At the age of 76, Lillian A died in 1991. Buried in 1991 in Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

Jessie married Harold SMITH.

ix. Lessie. Born in 1920 in Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1920.

Lessie married Guy McCOLLUM.

60. J. Frank PENIX. Born in Aug 1886 in Tennessee. At the age of 72, J. Frank died in 1959. Buried in 1959 in Beech River Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in District 17, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1900. Resided in District 1, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1930.

J. Frank married Jennie ?. Born in 1884. At the age of 84, Jennie died in 1968. Buried in 1968 in Beech River Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.

They had one child:
i. J. Frank. Born on 1 Jan 1909 in Henderson County, Tennessee. J. Frank died in Henderson County, Tennessee on 2 Jun 1909. Buried in Jun 1909 in Beech River Cemetery, Lexington, Henderson County, Tennessee.
