15. William ADAMS. Born in 1842 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 100, William died in Crowell, Foard County, Texas in 1942. Alias/AKA: "Whig".

William married Frances Lillian PEARSON, daughter of Peter PEARSON Senior (1814-1887) & Mary Ann PRITCHARD (1820-1866). Born in 1854 in Henderson County, Tennessee. Resided in 10th District, Henderson County, Tennessee in 1860.

They had the following children:

16. Fredonia ADAMS. Born on 28 Jan 1846 in Henderson County, Tennessee. At the age of 86, Fredonia died on 3 Apr 1932. Buried in Apr 1932 in Oak Hill Cemetery, Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee. Alias/AKA: "Dona".

In 1868 when Fredonia was 21, she married Sanford N. WILLIAMS, son of Benjamin T. WILLIAMS (1811-1870) & Margaret LONGMIRE (1804-). Born on 8 Jun 1842 in Madison County, Tennessee. At the age of 50, Sanford N. died on 25 May 1893. Buried in May 1893 in Oak Hill Cemetery, Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee. Sanford N. served Company G, 7th Tennessee Cavalry (US). Alias/AKA: "Newt".

Sanford N. Williams, general merchant, is a native of Madison County, Tenn., and was born June 8, 1842, son of B. T. and Margaret (Longmire) Williams, and is of Scotch-Irish lineage. His father was born in North Carolina in 1811, and his mother in Alabama in 1805. The family came to West Tennessee about 1837, and settled in Madison County. The father died in Carroll County in 1870, but his widow is residing in Huntingdon. Mr. Williams is the second of six children, and is self educated. He continued to reside on the farm until 1862, when he enlisted in Company G, Seventh Tennessee Cavalry, United States Army, and served fourteen months. In 1867 he began clerking in the store of E. T. McGill in Huntingdon, and from 1868 until 1870 was deputy revenue collector for what was then the Seventh District. In 1875 he engaged in general merchandising, and is now one of the leading business men of Huntingdon. Fredonia Adams became his wife in 1868. She was born in Henderson County, Tenn., in 1847, and is the mother of two children: Benjamin J. and Thomas N. Mr. Williams is a Republican, and cast his first presidential vote for A. Lincoln. He joined the Masons in 1865, and became a Royal Arch Mason in 1867. His wife belongs to the Christian Church. Mr. Williams is not a member of any church, and is rather liberal in his religious views.


They had the following children:
i. Benjamin J.. Born on 2 Oct 1869. At the age of 65, Benjamin J. died in Aug 1935. Buried in Aug 1934 in Oak Hill Cemetery, Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee.

iii. Tim. Born on 23 Jan 1878. At the age of 14, Tim died on 21 Dec 1892. Buried in Dec 1892 in Oak Hill Cemetery, Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee.


17. Arena Evelyn ADAMS. Born in 1854 in Tennessee. At the age of 92, Arena Evelyn died in 1946. Buried in 1946 in Ferguson Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

Arena Evelyn married William Green PARKER, son of Turner R. PARKER (1808-) & Mary Elizabeth JOHNSON (1817-). Born in 1846 in Tennessee. At the age of 70, William Green died in Cedar Grove, Carroll County, Tennessee on 6 Dec 1916. Buried in Dec 1916 in Ferguson Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee. Resided in District 7, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1850. Resided in District 13, Carroll County, Tennessee in 1870. Occupation: Owned and operated a mercantile business in Cedar Grove, Carroll County, Tennessee, for more than twenty years.

Served in Company I, 7th Tennessee Cavalry (US) during the American Civil War.

Obituary: Just before going to press yesterday morning news reached town of the death of Hon. W.G. Parker, which occurred at his home in the sixth district the night before. During the day, Wednesday, he was stricken with paralysis and lived only a few hours. Mr. Parker was the present representative from this county in the legislature. He was about 69 years old and is survived by his wife and three children.---Carroll County Democrat, December 8. Mr. Parker was related to the Henderson County family of the same name, which has long made Wildersville its place of residence and of which family our townsmen, W.P. Parker and Dr. S.T. Parker, are members.

ii. Willie. Born on 11 May 1885. At the age of 4, Willie died on 4 Jan 1890. Buried in Jan 1890 in Ferguson Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.

iii. James. Born in 1888 in Tennessee. At the age of 68, James died in 1956. Alias/AKA: "Jim".

James married Fleeta Ottawa RICHARDSON, daughter of B.F. RICHARDSON & Mary PORTER. Born in 1887. At the age of 83, Fleeta Ottawa died in 1970.

Jim and Fleeta had no children.

iv. Dona. Born on 15 Aug 1890. At the age of 1, Dona died on 13 Jun 1892. Buried in Jun 1892 in Ferguson Cemetery, Carroll County, Tennessee.
