The above photograph is of the
Thomas Jefferson Belew store
in Yuma, Carroll County, Tennessee. Thomas was the son of
John Green Belew and Mary Mainard Mitchell. John ran a General
Merchandise store at Clarksburg prior to moving it to Yuma in
approximately 1895. John died in 1899. The photograph was
taken
sometime between 1900 and 1910. Thomas was married to
Ila V. Williams, the daughter of Doctor Freeman Williams and
Rebecca Jane Bradford.
